I worked in a marketing firm for many years,and we had a riotous good time creating silly stories around some of the awful and strange photos we would find while searching stock photo libraries. Sometimes we downloaded placeholder, low-res images to send to each other for laughs, to keep the photo stories going.
Looking at your photo samples reminded of those bygone days. Maybe I'll start the tradition again with a new group of friends!
