Thanks for the meditation review! Last time I got instructed was many years ago, when a friend said that TM normally charges $1500, but he would instruct me for free. Have been doing cut-rate TM ever since. Btw, the bleached hair guy WAS sort of cute that summer. Gross but cute. Now he's just gross. And fat. And bald. If he's alive at all. Oh, and I misspelled jalousies in the Pennsylvania sectional of the National Spelling Bee because the questioner, having no idea what jalousies were, mispronounced it.
Thief. I misspelled thief in the 3rd grade spelling bee. Lost to Lucile Gibb, who remembered, “i after e except after c”. Not that it matters, more than 60 years later.
Another one I couldn't resist reading out loud to Tracy before she pulls it up on her phone! You are hitting home run after home run. Tracy mentioned your one about the dogs when we were walking Ruby this afternoon. "Visited by 11 clients since noon..." We couldn't stop laughing. Merrill, I hope you understand that your Substack is making people's lives better.
And now I have to get up because I actually have a bialy waiting for me (an unusual occurrence but the package was on what I call the rotten rack at Stop & Shop and I can’t resist a bargain). Will continue later.
1976 bicentennial spelling bee: pneumonia
Ha ha, so true. 99% of the time I exercise I’m thinking about what to eat after exercising.
