Of course brilliantly perceptive and funny, as expected.

I was thinking of what my mom, Marguerite, might have said to you about the sweaty fashion fiasco. She would have said, “I nevah wear a wool suit onna hundred degree day.”

She also would have said, “Don’t give up the front seat of a car to a man. Who was this jerk? He should sit in the back.”

Then she would have said, “A little sweat never hurts. Powder your nose. I’m sure you were the prettiest of all. You’re such a lovely, lovely girl.

Congratulations on the prize.”

Anyway, thanks for another great read, you genius lady.

Oh Merrill. Oh Merrill. I'm so sorry you had that 1983 person in your life.

Interesting how you blame the New Underwear Rule rather than the more obvious Jerky Boyfriend rule.

Your commentary on Love is Blind was amazing! I would highly recommend you give the Australian version of Married at First Sight a go. It's quite literally the opposite but equally entertaining (as you'd expect from quality TV)

Have you dabbled in the "Love is Blind" international flavors yet? I've learned something new about each culture, yet the subtext remains the same regardless. The Japanese are so polite, but they find a way to disapprove of each other in the nicest way. The Swedes—how do they understand each other? Yes, they're Swedish so they can speak the language, but are they sure? I like their choice of breakfast. I was delighted that in Season 3 of Brazil's LiB, low and behold they included a plump, tattooed, handicapped, mom looking for her true love. It gave me hope, but sadly, her love juice must have dried up or she got clarity or both. I'm not sure whether I love watching train wrecks or hot youngsters grope each other under thin sheets, but either way I'll be watching.

Not sure how I got here at 4 a.m. East Coast time on a Monday, but it was just what I needed. Thank you, Merrill, for a delightful discussion of lust and love. Looking forward to catching up and then staying tuned.
