Isn't it fun that some of the things you liked that happened were because you did something nice/good/kind for someone/something else. Definitely elevates the mood a lot more than reading headlines. Good for you! Great post!
You could’ve at least shown the butterflies a map that didn’t direct them into the jaws of Hurricane Otis. Sort of like dropping turkeys from a helicopter into a supermarket parking lot.
Another awesome update. Congrats on the anniversary. I love the side profile of Jeremy Allen White, you captured it perfectly. And as a Canadian watching the politico scene in the U.S. it looks like the GOP speaker pick instead JJ wasn’t any better.
I volunteer at CWC too; as a transporter. I am a vegetarian and can't handle getting the food ready for some of the patients. But that means I miss out on feeding some of the adorable babies.
I am a vegan. Yes, the raptors eat mice which is pretty grim, even tho they are already dead. The aquatic mammals get fish. But I work in the orphan baby care ward and none of the babies eat that stuff. The only live stuff is meal worms....which are still living things but easier not to empathize with since they are only a half-life and so small you can see if they have faces. But cutting up dead mice is one of the reasons I dont work in ICU. So I have no idea what they feed coyotes.
Thank you for the good news. It's an inspiration.
I enjoyed this but now I’m sorry I passed on that pappardelle!

that video of the butterfly emerging reset my whole brain in the best way. thank you 🖤🧡
(…I just realized the Halloween pappardelle is monarch-colored!!)
Thanks, MM.
Long live butterflies, and dogs. And root beer floats and paintings, and tiny orphan baby squirrels.
Another nice one, thank you!
Happy Anniversary😊
I dig all of it. 💗🙏🏽🌟

Hands down one of my favorite newsletters in a long time.
I now know so much more than I did before those videos,
and these stories! Monarchs rule! (the butterflies, that is)
Great post.

I didn't think I want to know what they feed them!
Uplifting in the face of so horrid a week. Thanks!
Thank you.
Root beer floats and baby squirrels and butterfly maps?? Epic!
Root beer floats are the nectar of the gods.
