Given all you’ve written about your hesitancy to get married, I love that you called him “the husband” instead of “my husband.” I found it to be a nice, sweet touch.
Thank you for this calming diversion, especially today
when the FBI has begun arresting judges in Wisconsin. I too go to bed angry and anxious. I never had afib until don the con crawled out of the woodwork.
Love this. The Mad King Revenge Tour has also prompted me to take a strong interest in the wellbeing of our backyard squirrels — who agree to let me call them Nick and Mike, in exchange for the walnuts I place on their cutesy “squirrel picnic table” purchased online. (Nick is the one with the nick on one ear… this is how deep I’m in.)
In our darkest days, #squirreltherapyworks
P.S. Thanks for being on “Hacks” — another delight!
A delight. The Boston Globe once ran a story on a retired doctor, struggling to fill his days, who found an injured squirrel in his backyard. He built it a tiny treadmill and became a passionate squirrel physiotherapist. There was an adorable video.
I love seeing you in Hacks. I'm also rewatching The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman this week. That show was ahead of its time.
Wonderful.

This is so terrific.
THat means a lot coming from MR. TERRIFIC himself!
You’re awesome.

Have a superb weekend all
Thanks for this. Also, you were so great on Hacks.

Another great story. And good to see you on Hacks!!
Thank you so much for this. It's so hard to find any reason for optimism these days!
You're a good human, Merrill Markoe. Something to strive for. Thanks for the post.
A nice post! I keep bags of peanuts for my many squirrels. My cats do not bother them at all, they seem to agree to share the yard.
Sweet babies. What a wonderful way to spend some time.
…full face of cheeseburgers=brilliant

You make a great surrogate squirrel!
